Following today’s government briefing on the outbreak of Coronavirus in the UK, Laghi’s Deli would like to issue the following statement:
Firstly, rest assured that the health of our customers and staff is our first priority, as is the health of the NHS that means so much to us all.
But we also need to try and ensure that Laghi’s Deli and its staff still exists when this crisis is over, so we are looking at sensible ways to try and keep the business running and the bills paid.
Social distancing is now a reality in the UK and we would ask all our customers to ensure they act responsibly before travelling to the restaurant, which will remain open for as long as we feel it is practical to do so.
So, we must all take measures to do this as safely as possible, so please do not visit if you feel unwell, have been suffering from any of the listed symptoms (a fever and / or persistent cough – in which case you should be self-isolating) or are suffering from an underlying health condition.
For our part we will be taking measures such as utilising less tables, sanitising high contact points like surfaces and menus and encouraging contactless / card payments, even more than we normally would.
We also intend to broaden our reach and accessibility by expanding on our delivery service.
Our chef is working on a new high quality take-away menu so that a traditional Italian feast can be paid for over the phone and delivered to your door.
We are essentially working on a series of menu items to not only cater for those of you stuck at home but also to alleviate the shortage of pasta and sauces on our supermarket shelves. Look out for more details soon.
In the meantime we would like to thank everyone for their support. We’ll need it more than ever in the coming weeks and we hope that we can do our bit to help you get through it too.
Laghi’s Deli xx 🇮🇹
